Sometimes we get stuck in life. We get stuck in survival mode, stuck in the fear of what’s next, or stuck in our roles afraid to be who we really are. However, deep inside, hope pushes us courageously on to seek the life we desire. A 90 minute coaching session in person or via Zoom is a time for you to be heard, to gain awareness, and develop practical tools as you take steps toward the life that matters most to you.

Parenting Groups

Using as a guide, Parenting with Heart by Chip Dodd and Stephen James, our weekly time focuses on challenges we encounter in parenting. We spend time talking about how to do things differently. This 1 hour and 30 minutes group time allows for learning and reflection in hopes of creating a supportive and safe place in which we can encourage each other to be well, and to bravely parent from that source of truth rather than the world’s voice of management and control.

Parent Coach

My professional work as well as raising sons (26,23,20) has taught me that parenting is full of joyful yet difficult and lonely times. It is a journey as much about ourselves as it is our children.  Many well-intentioned voices like to tell us that to prevent or fix all of our children’s problems is the only way that we, as parents, can be “OK”. What if there is a different way, one that allows us to bring our full heart to our children and surrender the outcomes to God trusting that “He is up to more than we can even ask or imagine.” Surrendering to this struggle and to God is a process that takes practice, encouragement, and help.

Coaching is defined as training someone who is part of a team.  We all know that being a parent is definitely being and leading your own team of family members! My job as a parent coach is to instruct and prompt you into being the best member of your team you can be. A 1 hour coaching session provides a supportive and safe place to be heard and learn to bravely parent from the heart rather than from management and control. Not to learn to be a perfect parent but a present parent.  One who recognizes a bigger goal to your child’s life than performance.

Solitude Space

This is a peaceful space you can come for a day of solitude. You may need quiet reflection, prayer, work space or rest. This is a place for just that. Bring your own books or use the ones available. We have tea, coffee, water and a few light snacks provided for you.

Pre-Maritial Counseling

When two people leave the lives that have worked for them to begin a new journey together, worlds literally collide. It is wise to seek counsel with this process. Premarital counseling offers a structure for safely approaching decision-making, values, expectations and life strategies while learning to practically navigate the beauty and complexity of life together. Co-led with my husband Steve, these 1 hour and 30 minutes sessions offer honest assessment of trouble spots we have seen in 24 years of relationship coaching as well as opportunities to embrace your own story, feelings, and needs in order to enter marriage full-hearted.

SYMBIS Assessment and 6- 1 & 1/2 hour sessions

4 couples sessions, 1 individual session (future groom with Steve, future bride with Virginia), & 1 couples post wedding session
